REVIEW:

A huge compilation of novellas by 11 amazing authors, all about sports, they have them all, you can basically just pick what you want! And.. and.. you can basically find any freaking trope in here, best friends to lovers, single dad, fake relationship and so on.

I loved them all, and I really enjoyed reading stuff from so many new authors, definitely gonna check out most of their books, specially the series that these novellas belong to *claps hands in excitement*!

These reviews are probably all gonna be on the short and sweet size, just know that this Anthology is damn well worth picking up!

The End Zone, L. J. Shen:

This was the perfect start for me, seriously no one can ever due wrong with a best friends to lovers romance for me, I swear.

You are first introduced to the characters with the retelling of the moment they first met, and then you meet them in the present, as best friends attending college and living together. Sage is the typical man whore jock, who once faced with the possibility of Jojo (his best friend) dating one of his teammates, finally realizes she's the one he wants, and no one else. He damn sure made thinks interesting once he realized it.

Sage was so alpha over Jojo, I love it. This one was really fun and steamy, and of course it was also sweet.

“You are in my blood!” he screams in my face, raking his fingers along his thick, lush blond hair. I look away so he won’t see the tears. My cheeks are wet, and my heart is pounding loud enough to hear from across the room. “You’re in my blood, in my veins, in my fucking soul. You’re in my heart and in my fingertips and on my fucking lips like a prayer. You’re fucking everywhere, Jolie Louis. Always have been, always will be.”

Slapped into Love, Rochelle Paige:

This one is a one-night-stand to lover if that's even a thing. It was sexy and more sweet than anything else. I really enjoyed Tamara and Ryan.

It was just me with my friends, feeling like I’d left a part of me back home.” The hurt was washed away, replaced by fierce joy. “And I’m the missing part of you?” “You are.” “Because you love me?” I whispered. “Yes.” A huge grin spread across my face. “Could you maybe tell me instead of just saying yes?” “Only if you say it back.” “Together on three?” “Sure,” he chuckled. “Three.” I took a deep breath. “Two.” And another. “One.” I tossed myself into his arms as we shared in unison, “I love you.” This countdown wasn’t a race, but we both came out winners in the end.

Full Court, Kennedy Ryan:

Oh boy, I was so excited for this. If you know me from anywhere you must know my new found love for anything Kennedy Ryan. She shook my world this year with her Grip series, and instantly became one of my favorite authors, and is definitely at the top of my auto-buy list. And somehow I wasn't expecting a novella, a freaking novella to put my emotions through the ringer but boy didn't it do just that.

Kennedy brought it once again and truly amazed me with the emotion, passion and angst in this one. I'm glad, I really am. If everything she writes is always like what I've read so far, I'm gonna love her books for the rest of my life.

Avery and Decker had an amazing, beautiful and heart-wrenching story and I wholeheartedly enjoyed every single word of it.

It’s a first kiss. I understand the difference now between the first time you kiss someone, and a first kiss. This is a discovery of tongues and lips and heat. An introduction of our souls, if that doesn’t sound too pussy-ish. It’s how I feel, though. Like as our lips brush back and forth, as our tongues tangle, as I taste her, mouthful by delicious mouthful, I’m learning her secrets. I’m telling her mine. My hands slide from the door to flatten into the warmth of her back through the silk blouse, bringing her incrementally closer. The air shifts and takes the shape of lust; assumes the form of want. The sound of her moaning, the slight lift and fall of her breasts against my chest, testifies that she feels it, too.

Out of Formation, Ella Fox:

It was sexy, a little angsty definitely but not too bad ehh, and definitely sweet, but who doesn't find a love story sweet?!

Colin takes my hand in his and laces our fingers together. I do my best to keep any surprise from my face as he brings our hands to his lips and kisses the back of mine. “There’s nothing to thank me for,” he says quietly. “I need you just as much as you need me, Leni. Don’t ever forget that.”

This one was told through flashbacks and present moment. It tells the story of a girl, Leni, who was brought up by an old couple who were her mother's tenants. This old couple had a grandson who was always there for her growing up, and with whom she fell in love at the age of 15. She is now in college, and still in love with from a distance.

The last time they were together was when Colin's grandma passed away, and they didn't leave things off on a good note. Now, sometime later, he just shows up at her University as the new Football coach, talk about forbidden love...

Sweeping the Series, Kate Stewart:

Oh man, another that got me right in the feels, to the point of tears actually. This one was a second chance romance, and the best ones are always the more angst-y ones and boy did this one fall right in that category!

Kate really brought in the angst and I was dying, heart in my throat, tear falling down my face, and hope in my eyes, always gotta hope for that HEA.

This was beautiful, and I kind of wanted more, no I definitely wanted more from these two. I loved them together. They spent most of the time breaking my heart but I still loved them, no as much as they loved each other though.

Two years, and with every day, every hour, every second, I knew I still loved her. I knew I wouldn’t forget her and didn’t want to. She was the one woman who knew me. Aside from my high school sweetheart, she was the only one I’d let in, only to be surprised by her. She was it. I had a one-woman heart. I’d always been a faithful man. I had no problem with monogamy, and it wasn’t a choice, it was the way I was built. It’d always been assumed I was a heartbreaker and a playboy because of the way I looked, but my insides didn’t match that fucked-up persona. At the heart of me lay a man who would bleed openly for the right woman. And that woman was Erica Wild. But my faithful heart was a fucking curse, especially at that moment. Because it refused to let me acknowledge I was wrong about her, about us.

Adriana Locke:

A contemporary romance author running on coffee and sticky kisses from my rowdy four little boys.

From Indiana, I’m a true Mid-Westerner. Life, for me, is about family, faith, and food. When I’m not running my kiddos around or having a lunch date of fajitas with my husband (and high school sweetheart), you can find me outside. I love a good sunny day almost as much as I love candy, random quotes, and steamy bad boys in fantastic books.

I’m on nearly every social media platform. Please find me on the ones you frequent – I love chatting with readers.

Mandi Beck:
Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.

A nursing student, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.

Emma Scott:
I write romances with flawed characters, characters with artistic hearts: builders, poets, and writers of various makes and models. I love to write book lovers; those who have found refuge, companionship, and escape in books, much as we do in real life. I like realism, honesty, authenticity in storytelling. I love to write about enduring love, soul-deep love, in as real a setting as I can make, but with big smooshy HEAs. I believe in diversity, open-mindedness, and inclusion. I like sweetness mixed with steam, love conquering all, and above all, hope. Love always wins.

A BLONDE AT HEART

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
