This story is as old as time.
Girl meets boy.
They fall in love and, after their fair share of highs and lows, they finally get their happily ever after …
Only in my story, happily ever after seems to be so far away.
William and I are together, but we’re apart.
It’s hard and painful, but we make do because not being together is harder than having a long-distance relationship.
Every turn is more painful than the last, and I’m not sure if I’m ready for it.
If we are ready for it.

For more than a year, I waited.
For more than a year, I was a good boy playing by the rules.
For more than a year, I’ve been waiting for the right moment.
I gave her time she needed.
The time we needed.
I watched her go in and out of my life, time and time again.
But I’m done playing this game.
I can see the pain in her eyes. The pain that matches my own.
It’s time to end this and claim what’s mine.
Because I’m hers, and she’s mine and we … We’re forever.

What to know how it all started?

“What I really admired about this book was the romance. It wasn’t an immediate fall into bed and declare their love for each other. It was realistic, rough on the edges, and slow burning. This isn’t something you see often in the sports romance genre (at least I haven’t found many like this) and Lost & Found is unique with the pacing, the story line and the honesty between all of the characters.” - Ashley

Review/Excerpt: The Hardest Fall, Ella Maise

The Hardest Fall, an all new tantalizing contemporary romance by Ella Maise is NOW LIVE!
The Hardest Fall Cover
The first time you meet someone, you make eye contact. You smile, say hello. Should be simple, if you’re anyone but me. The first time I met Dylan Reed, I found myself making eye contact with a different part of his body. You see, I’m very good at being shy, not to mention extremely well-versed in rambling nonsense and, unfortunately, rather highly skilled at making a fool of myself in front of a guy I’m attracted to.
At the time, I knew nothing about him and thought none of what I said would matter since I’d never speak to him again. Turns out, I was very wrong. He was the star wide receiver of the football team, one of the few players expected to make it into the NFL, and I ended up seeing him all over campus.
I might have also propositioned him, run away from him, attacked him with a cooking utensil…and…uh, maybe I shouldn’t tell you all of it. It’s pretty normal stuff, things you’d expect…from me. Eventually, the time came when I couldn’t hide anymore—not that he’d have let me even if I tried.
Before now, he never knew I was secretly watching him. Now that we see each other every day, he knows when I have a hard time looking away. It doesn’t help that I’m not the most subtle person in the world either.
He smiles at me and tells me he finds me fascinating because of my quirks. I can’t even tell him that I think my heart beats differently whenever he’s around.
He thinks we’re going to be best friends. I think I have a big thing for him, and the more I get to know him, the more I don’t care that I’m not allowed to be his friend, let alone fall for him.
The thing is, that’s exactly what I’m doing—what we’re doing, I think.

“We don’t have the best timing in the world, huh, Flash?” What could I say? I nodded and forced a small smile on my face. Was that disappointment I was seeing in his eyes? And were those butterflies taking flight somewhere in my stomach?
The Hardest Fall was the first book I read by Ella and to say I was impressed was an understatement. I enjoy this book to the max. I adored the writing style, the characters and oh the slow burn had me hitching for the end of the book just so I could see them together.

It looked like she had a whole different side of her hiding underneath that first layer. Maybe that was what was drawing me to her—the possibilities of Zoe. I wasn’t a dumbass; I knew I was attracted to her—my dick had been happy to see her more than a few times that week—but it wasn’t just the fact that she was beautiful that had moving me in that direction. I was being serious when I told her I had a feeling she was gonna be my best friend.

Oh boy it took them a good while and then once they were finally together something had to go wrong... so I feel like we didn't get nearly enough of them happy together as we should have. It definitely left me earning for more of these two.

“I have this…thing for you,” she said quietly, letting out a breath as if relieved to say it out loud. Did she think she had been hiding it from me all this time? Did she think I didn’t know, didn’t feel the same…thing? After resting our hands on her hip, I leaned down so I could speak into her ear. “I have a thing for you, too, Flash.” She groaned and tried to let go of my hand, but I held her tighter. “I’m not joking, Dylan. I really have a big thing for you.”

This is definitely a book I 100% recommend! Dylan was so so perfect. I loved watching them interacting and earning for their friendship to be more from such close proximity. The interactions  between these were always sweet and funny and I just really really loved them so much.
Zoe had me laughing out loud since the very first chapter, she was so awkward and so cute. I loved her and I definitely can relate to her awkwardness.
She also didn't have the greatest luck which gave us some very funny scenes. But she did get extremely lucky with Dylan, he was the whole freaking package. I swear that boy was everything.

"Now you’re everywhere, always on my mind. I close my eyes and I can see you, right there.” My focus dropped low as I brushed her bottom lip with my thumb and her lips parted. “Now, I could never mistake you for someone else. Your shy little smile, your big happy smile, the shape of your eyes…you’re all I think about, Zoe. When I wake up, I can’t wait to work out because I know you’ll be up only minutes after me. I’ll hear your footsteps, you’ll come into the kitchen still half asleep and so beautiful, and then you’ll innocently perv on me while acting like you’re having breakfast.” She groaned and I laughed.

I want my Dylan now, and thank you.

“It’ll happen soon you know. I wonder if you’re ready for it, because we’re almost there. I can see it in your eyes, and you’re going to lose, Zoe, just like I knew you would.” “What? Almost where? Lose what?” “The bet,” he explained calmly. “You’re going to kiss me and lose the bet. You won’t be able to help yourself.”

I stopped speaking when Dylan’s gloved hand—his huge gloved hand—cupped my cheek and gently tilted my face up. The world around me slowed down, and I stood still. I swear to you, I watched his eyes roam my face in slow motion.
“I like having your eyes on me, Zoe.”
I managed to force a nervous smile. His thumb moved on my cheek, rendering me…basically completely helpless.
Forgetting myself, forgetting where we were, I whispered, “I like watching you.”
His tongue peeked out and touched his lower lip. “I know.”
Oh, Dylan, why did you do that?
“I meant I like watching you—liked watching you play tonight. I didn’t mean it to sound like I like watching you when you’re not playing. I definitely wouldn’t watch you if you were just standing there, or I don’t know…I wouldn’t watch you when you’re working out, and I would never watch you if you were—”
“You know why I like watching you?”
The question shut me up pretty quickly, which was probably for the best; who knew what else I would spew out.
“Because I can’t take my eyes away from you. Everything else…it all disappears, and…”
And… And…
I tried my best not to look eager for his answer—or let’s say not too eager, because there was no way he couldn’t tell I was very interested and invested in hearing what he was about to say.
He let out a heavy breath and decided not to finish that particular sentence. I’d seen it in his eyes, a slight change, there and gone.
About Ella
I’m a big dreamer. And that’s how it all started for me, really. Reading and dreaming. I love nothing more than to escape real life to find those very few magical moments in a book. I love how it has the power of stealing your worries away, putting a smile on your face even when smiling is the last thing on your mind. Crushing on fictional characters is also another bonus. Through my words, if I can manage to make even one-person smile, it means I’ve done my job well.
Writing became my world and I can’t imagine myself doing anything other than creating new characters and telling their stories. You know how some things simply makes your heart burst with happiness? A really good book, a puppy, hugging someone you’ve been missing like crazy? That’s what writing does to me. And all the hard work, all the sleepless nights, all the anxiety that comes with publishing…everything is worth it at the end.

Review: The Invisible Thread, Lisa Suzanne

Title: The Invisible Thread
Series: The Unbreakable Thread #2
Author: Lisa Suzanne
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 23, 2018

It’s love against revenge in the highly anticipated
conclusion of Lisa Suzanne’s #1 bestselling rock star romance series.

One decision was all it took for Ethan Fuller’s life to be
flipped upside down and for Maci Dane’s twenty-year plan to fall off the rails.

Ethan tells Maci about the invisible thread that links two people destined to
be together. The road isn’t always smooth, but eventually the two people
holding the thread will find their way to each other.

They found their way together, yet they keep finding themselves apart. Mistake
after mistake, lie after lie, grudge after may be too much for two
people to overcome.

Are Maci and Ethan tied by the invisible thread, or will their thread break
before they can find their way to happiness?

I’m more sure than ever that I know the truth. It’s her. I know it is. Why else would it feel like the other half of my soul stepped into the room the minute Maci walked in?

Lisa Suzanne completely blew my mind with this conclusion to Ethan and Maci's story. Boy, you all know I live for angst, right? Well this book had it in full. I felt everything, every single emotion these two felt. And it honestly blew me away.
I had been so anxious to read this book and see how it would all play out and how these two would end up together and oh boy what a roller coaster.

“Did you really love her?” I ask. “Did you even know her?” He lifts the shoulder he’s not lying on. “I don’t know. I know I had strong feelings for her. I know she incited feelings in me no one else has ever been able to. Until I met you.”

Maci kept on questioning Ethan's actions, thinking he was still fucking every girl that came his way but I'm glad that in the midst of all the emotions she was going through and still working through her resentment towards him, that her love for him and their child won and she finally decided to tell him she was pregnant. Ethan was shocked and his reaction wasn't the best and obviously Maci took it to heart but she always does when it comes to him. After pondering about it and talking it out with Mark, Ethan was in a better mind set and he made things right with Maci. They were finally gonna work things out and be together for real.

“I’m here, aren’t I?” She says it softly, and it speaks directly to that cold part of my chest she’s managed to thaw. I nod, conceding, and then I give her my honesty because I can’t put together why she’s here when I’m doing my best to push her away. “That’s what I don’t understand. I don’t want to jinx it, but why do you keep coming back?” “Because I love you too, you goddamn idiot.”

But then an accident happened and Maci faced with the idea of losing the love of her life, knew that it was time she told him the whole truth so they could move forward and be a real family with no secrets. To say the truth was a blow to the heart was an understatement. Boy did it hurt to see Ethan learn the truth about Maci and how it impacted him. Ethan had been so happy to finally be good with Maci and now learning she was Dani and had been hiding something so big and so monumental, made him feel like everything was a lie, a betrayal. And although at first he had a reason to be hurt and in shock, he should have gotten over it sooner. She told him the truth, they were having a baby and they loved each other.

Only another scare woke him up from his hurt, and boy I was scared for them but I couldn't help but be happy it happened just so Ethan realized what they all were missing on.
Even though he took a while to get out of his head, he did and oh boy when they finally were together for real, it was beautiful. Ethan was really sweet when he wanted to be and those songs he wrote about her, oh my heart. I swooned so hard. When both of them finally let of all the hurt and resentment over their past, they were perfect together and it was beautiful to read about.

“I’ll see you on stage in just under three hours,” she says. “I’ll be the one behind the drum kit.” She leans in close to me. “I’ll be the one wishing it was me you were banging on instead of those drums.”

I'm super sad that I won't have anything else to read of my Vail boys, really sad. These guys completely stole my heart in so little time and I wish I had more of them. I love them so much and I'm just so happy they both found the one holding the other side of their thread.
It's completely bittersweet. I am both so happy that Ethan and his sweet girl finally found their way to each other but I'm super sad it's over too. Do you feel me? I really wanted more of all this gang. I'm not ready to say goodbye.
On another note, I'm over the moon about finding Lisa's books. I completely feel in love with her writing when I read The Power to Break and it only cemented when I read all the other Vail books. So I'm super excited for whatever she has in store next, and I know she already has a book in the works, I can't wait to read it.

“You know something?” he asks, backing away from me. “I’m not sorry it happened the way it did. It’s part of our story now.” “Our story?” He shrugs. “We have a lot to work out and a lot to get past. It won’t be easy, but the road to finding the person holding your thread never is. I think this is merely the first chapter of our story, Mace.” “The first chapter,” I repeat. “Sounds like a song title.” “Sounds like a good one to add to our record.”

Blog Tour - Review: The Real, Kate Stewart

We're celebrating the release of THE REAL by Kate Stewart!

Contemporary Romance
Stand Alone

They say it happens when you least expect it.

It did for me.

It started the moment I saw the simple message pop up on my computer screen:

Cameron’s Mac: Hi.

And when I met the eyes of the gorgeous man messaging me from across the coffee shop, I never thought my reply would lead to the most intense, sexual, and passionate relationship of my life.

We both agreed to check our bags at the door and put our future hopes and aspirations on the table.

It worked.

I fell in love with his no holds barred attitude, sexy smirk, and undeniably good heart . . . and for a while we forgot about our baggage. We happily tripped over it to get to the other, neither of us willing to show the contents of our pasts in the off chance it could ruin us.

We built our love on a foundation of gray.

It was life in black and white that threatened to tear us apart.

I felt it, though. The stare. Hesitantly, I looked up. Then froze. The Bible states that God created the world in six days. So, when it came to time relevance and divine creation, it stood to reason that the Creator took an extra millisecond on the man watching me sip my third latte.
Oh boy, this one was pretty special! I loved everything about this book. The whole coffee dates and just the whole being of their relationship, I loved it all. They were both looking for an escape, a distraction, and somewhere where they could hide from their awful realities. And they found all that in each other and more. They fell in love through a screen and lustful stares. The basis of their relationship was honesty and being themselves with one another. The only thing that was not up for discussion was their pasts and that's what ended up biting their asses.

Cameron’s Mac: Are we allowed to give compliments? I didn’t get a chance to answer.
Cameron’s Mac: Because if I was standing, that smile would have knocked me on my ass.

They had the most perfect relationship. They were finally in love with the right person, a normal, sweet, kind hearted person but it turned out their pasts were a pretty big part of their story and it should have come up before it came out in the worst way.

Abbie’s Mac: Are you a good kisser?
Cameron’s Mac: I’ve had no complaints. But why don’t you get that beautiful, jean-clad ass over here and find out?
Abbie’s Mac: You would kiss me for the first time in a coffee shop?
Cameron’s Mac: In front of God and everyone. At this point, I’d kiss you anywhere you let me. Are you ready for that, Abbie? Because once I get access to those lips, I’m going to suck them dry.
Abbie’s Mac: Sounds promising and painful.
Cameron’s Mac: A kiss can be an introduction, statement, and a promise. I plan to make all three when you let me.

Abbie didn't trust men, not after her ex turned out to be a bit of a psycho. So learning Cameron's secret was a blow to the gut and to her heart, which was already his at that point.
However, Cameron did not have it easy. Even though he was hiding a big secret, it was understandable after all the hell he had been going through the past couple of years. My heart hurt so bad for him and her too, but mostly him. It had me tearing up so many times.

“I just wasn’t sure where I wanted to call home.” “And now?” One side of his mouth lifted. “Now, I’ve got an incentive to stick around.” “You flatter me.” “You fucking floor me.”

If only she had just listened to his explanation, she would have understood, and months of torture and misery could have been avoided. He deserved better, he deserved to be happy. He deserved all the good things after what that b*tch put him through. God, I hate her. She was truly so awful. I wanted to slap the beezus out of her all the time.

You’re in my veins, Abbie. You should know that. I’ll never stop loving you.”

I really adored Cameron, he was such a good soul and a decent guy and he deserved to have and live the kind of love he found with Abbie. They both deserved it.

The Real is a beautiful and amazing tale about finding your person, finding the real thing. These two had it from the start; their chemistry was undeniable but they gave their relationship a solid basis before they took it to the bedroom. And it was perfect, even with the hiccup they had in their way.
I loved these two and this book. Definitely recommend it.
And Kate totally nailed it again, soon she'll be an auto buy author for me, I'm certain of it.
“The only thing that could trump you today, Abbie, is you tomorrow. And I don’t want to be without you tomorrow.”

Review: When Stars Burn Out, Carrie Aarons

Title: When Stars Burn Out
Author: Carrie Aarons
Genre: Contemporary Adult
Release Date: April 22, 2018

Stars die in one of two ways.

So slowly that each layer burning out feels like agony … or suddenly, exploding
into a million pieces before the universe even has a grasp of what is happening.

When Paxton Shaw left Demi Rosen without so much as a goodbye, he stole her
shine in both manners.

Now, eight years later, he’s trying to pull her back into his orbit. The
nation’s most beloved football player, a tight end with a seriously tight end,
has finally realized Demi is the one who got away.

But she’s a different woman than the weak girl who used to come running
whenever he called in the middle of the night. Strong, successful, her life’s
mission being to grant the wishes of children whose flames have all but been

And untouchable, as dark and cold as a midnight sky with no moon in sight.

When one special child forces their star-crossed paths to collide, it’s
impossible to keep the feelings of their past buried. Paxton had been her
Halley’s Comet; the once in a lifetime love that scorched Demi’s heart in the
most spectacular of fashions.

She promised herself she would never make that mistake again. But, how can she
forget the dreams of love she once had, when Paxton wants to make them come

Paxton and Demi's story had me glued to the pages of this book, waiting and wanting to know their whole story, past and present. I wanted to know every detail of these two's journey and what made them the way they are today.

Flashes of when I used to make her moan, have her body writhing under me, assault my senses as I breathe in that familiar vanilla perfume. It’s funny, no matter how many years have passed, that whenever I get a whiff of that scent, I think of Demi.

Paxton is a football player who was just traded and is now back in the city where he went to college.
College Paxton thought he couldn't have his cake and eat it too. He thought he could only have one thing, not both. So he chose to focus on football over having a girl, and he acted like an asshole towards the one girl who was always there for him hoping one day they could be more than fuck buddies.

Demi is now the owner of  a company who grants wishes to children called Wish Upon A Star. A very special wish to her, brings her into the same room as Paxton Shaw, a blast from the past. The guy she had been in love with eight years ago. The one who used her and left her in a blink of an eye with no goodbye.

He’d been the reason I couldn’t fall in love with anyone else, not when I’d been so rejected for so long by the one man I’d loved blindly. Even when someone had loved me faithfully, with all of my flaws, I couldn’t give enough to make it work.

Paxton  sees this as an opportunity to right his wrongs. He isn't the same man he was eight years ago. He knows what he wants. He knows what he did to her was so so wrong. And he wants to make it up to her but Demi was really hurt and still is over what happened between them all those years ago. So he needs to up his game and really bring out the big gesture for Demi to know he's serious about her this time. With the help of their little friend, Paxton gets a second chance to be with Demi. To show her this time he's playing for keeps.

“You’re too good at this,” I murmur. “What’s that?” His lips meet my ear. “Making me fall.”

When Stars Burn Out is a beautiful story about loss, love and second chances. Carrie really outdid herself with this one. I really enjoyed it. It was sweet, heartbreaking and important. I loved Demi's job and seeing all that she did for Ryan and all the other kids. It makes me happy to think they are people in this world like her. She was a gem.

“I think of each one of these children as a precious star. One whose life on earth may be short, but their time floating around that great, big mystical universe is far from over. They may be burning out for us, we may soon be unable to see their shine, but they will always be here, looking over us when the night sky comes to life.”
