They met when they were kids.

They were friends, lovers, and then husband and wife.

They were supposed to be together forever.
He was her Superman.
She was his happiness.

And then he went pro.
And she doubted something that was supposed to be forever.
Mistakes were made in exchange for dreams, and hearts were shattered.
Their forever crumbled right before their eyes.

He went on to play for the Washington Warriors. He ate, breathed, and slept professional hockey. All he had left after her was the ice. He was in magazines, he won a Stanley Cup, and he had a crowd of people screaming his name. He had everything. Didn’t he?

It’s hard to move on from an addiction, and she was addicted. Drunk on love too early on, she never truly moved on from her first love. She faded in and out of life, trying to ignore her need. But bad habits have a way of coming back when you least expect them too.

For years they went separate ways, until her Superman falls from the sky.

He was on a helicopter after a big win when the engine cut out. He knows he’s not making it out alive. Even with the screams of his teammates shouting in the background as they crash toward earth, all he can think of is her. He’ll never get to see her again…

Love is unforgiving dragging her back to heartache. She only wants to help him get better from the accident and move on with her life. She never planned on falling back in love with him. She never planned on falling so hard a second time.

Lovesick and broken, they crash right back into each other.

'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time "

God, this one was an emotional roller coaster. Complete angst paradise. So.. if you're an angst addict this is for you! Seriously, there wasn't a second in this book where angst wasn't at least a little bit present. It was insane and amazing.

“Tell me why you kept my name, and I won’t bring it up again.” “At all?” I delved into his fiery brown eyes for any signs he was lying when he nodded. I didn’t see any. “I kept your name because I still love you, just as much today as I did the day I met you. There. Happy?” I sneered. He sure looked happy. He grinned smugly, and his eyes filled with tamed flames. I realized my mistake a moment too late. He sat back in his chair and let my hand go. “You go ahead and keep my name for as long as you need. I gave it to you because I wanted you to have it. Forever,” he added darkly.

I don't want to get too much into it but Gavin and Jasmeen have known each other since they were 10, have been in love since practically the same age, and were together since then until they were 21. Until both of them made a mistake.

“We broke us,” I corrected sharply. “But we can fix us, too. We were too young, for everything we did. But we did it for a reason. We wanted it. We needed it. Don’t let your mind twist this up anymore.”

They spent the last 4 years apart, with absolutely no communication and they were both miserable without each other. Now, they are forced back together due to Gavin being in a terrible accident and having no one to be there for him while he recovers, except Jasmeen.

Since the first moment they lay eyes on each other again, it's obvious that what they felt for each other is still there, and Gavin's main goal is to get her back and never ever let her go again.

“Give it up, Jas. Give up the wrong, give up the doubt, give it all up and let’s start over. See where this goes. If it ends in friendship, fine. You were my best friend, too, and I could use one. If it ends in us dating, I’ll take it. You were an incredible girlfriend. If it ends in us getting remarried, I’ll get on my hands and knees and thank God. I think we owe it to ourselves to start over.”

This book was beyond emotional. It will have you tearing up in no time and countless of times during its entirety. You'll see both of these beautiful souls working through their issues and mistakes. Gavin working through his pains and nightmares about the crash. You'll see them both fighting for their lives and dreams, together.

This is story is not only about second chances, but about forgiveness, moving forward and fighting, fighting for yourself, your dreams, for love.

This is an emotional roller coaster that you do not want to miss!

“I feel alive,” he growled against my swollen, kissed lips. “That’s because you are,” I breathed, our lips inches apart. “Because of you. I’m alive because of you.” Me too, I thought, high on my favorite drug.

" We are still kids but we're so in love
Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time "
