Review
Another room mates to lovers romance, say what? Who's in heaven today? Room mate-to-lovers romances' fans must be, because two new ones in the same day is pretty awesome!
And this one was even sweeter than the other one.

“Hi.” He smiled, and I thought I’d die right there in the middle of a coffee shop.

It's about a single mom who is struggling to find a job and a place to stay. She's been staying with her best friend and her boyfriend, and she's sleeping on the couch and using the kitchen sink as a bathroom. Yeah, it's a real struggle for her. One day her best friend sees an ad on Facebook that has blown up on the internet because the guy who wrote the ad was super evasive and sounds sketchy as heck. Jade finds herself tempted to see what is up with this guy so she fills out the form just to feel him out. Turns out though, that he's a genuine guy just looking for a female room mate so he doesn't feel so alone when he's home and just to have someone to talk to. He's divorced and just missing some platonic female company.

Jade and Cash start talking first through emails, then texts that quickly become hour long phone calls. It's supposed to be just getting to know each other conversations to see if they would work out as room mates but they quickly find themselves developing a friendship. They decide to meet up to see how they deal with each other face-to-face, and Jade confesses all her lies and tells him her current living situation. Cash who already knew that she had been hiding something (he can tell when someone is lying due to his profession) tells her she can move in. He owns the house and she doesn't have to pay him rent, and he just wants the room mate to have company not because of the money or anything else. They make a deal and Jade and her daughter move in with Cash.

Their friendship becomes even more intimate, they spend every weekend together and always stay up late talking. They share their pasts with each other, him the story of his divorce, and her the reason she doesn't want Aria's father in their lives. And their attraction and love for each other grows day by day too. And how can Jade resist him when he treats her daughter as if she was his own? The answer is she can't.

“I broke a rule…one of yours.” “Which one?” My fear increased with each second that ticked by. His eyes never left my lips when he uttered, “I fell in love.” The weight on my chest crushed my ribs, collapsed my lungs, and freed my heart. None of the common-sense questions mattered—his lack of sexual attraction toward me being on the top of that list. I’d heard the words I never thought would come out of his mouth, and nothing else existed. I wanted him to kiss me.

But just as they give in to their love and attraction, Jade's mom is an accident which forces her to go back to her hometown and face her demons. And it's there that Cash's secret comes out.
Will Jade forgive him for lying and hiding part of who is from her? Will she love him or leave him? Learning what she did, she doesn't know if she can let Aria live with Cash anymore.

Want to learn what Cash was hiding from Jade, or if they get their HEA? Pick this baby up! It's super sweet, fun, sexy and even a little angst-y. Certainly a good and easy read.

“Is this for real?” she asked against my lips. “If it isn’t, I don’t want to live in reality.”

Author Bio

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
