Blurb:

A second chance romance.

What happens when you fall for the boy next door?

Bea Norwood had the market on normal.

Drama free life? Check.

A single-mother who doubled as her confidant and partner in crime? Check.

A neighbor and best friend she trusted more than anyone? Check.

But that was until the day her mother remarried. The day that changed everything.

When her best friend's cousin, Liam Falcon, is sent to live with his aunt and uncle to clean up his act, Bea finds herself falling for the boy next door. With their hearts so infinitely entwined, Bea turns to Liam as her only escape from her new step-brother's daily torment at home. Bea thought their love could conquer anything. But she was wrong. Love was for fools, and she was the biggest fool of them all. When Liam left Lakeport, he took her heart with him, shattering the organ to pieces.

Six years later, Liam takes a trip back to Lakeport to visit his family, and to see HER.

His first love.

The girl who holds his heart.

The same girl who shattered it six years ago without looking back.

Liam is hell-bent on seeing Bea again after six years, but what he finds tears his heart in half. Bea Norwood is a shell of the girl he fell in love with. Underneath the baggy clothes, and pale skin, he knows she's still in there somewhere, he just needs to find her.

Liam will stop at nothing to win his girl back, but sometimes, ignorance is bliss, and Liam isn't prepared for Bea's truth.

Review
I knew this book was going to be emotional but honestly I didn't know the half of it. This book might have been one of the hardest books I ever had to read and you know I love my emotional reads but this one took the cake man... it was just so heartbreaking to read, it physically hurt sometimes.

This book has constant triggers so beware of that, it is not easy to read, at all. But it was so amazing, it was a story that NEEDED to be told and it was told beautifully.

I loved Bea from the very beginning, she was such a wonderful, smart and interesting girl. And I loved watching her fall in love with Liam, their little moments under the stars were so damn cute. I lived for the myths about the constellations.

Bea was such an energetic and happy person but she lost all her spark when Liam left town and because of Colton and what he did to her. As soon as Liam came back to town (6 years later) she started gaining her spark and life back with help from her new college friend Melody who understood what she was going through. Little by little, she started getting pieces of herself and her old life back and it was amazing to see how much can happen with a little bit of hope.

Bea and Liam were truly written in the stars. These two needed each other to be truly happy and they would do absolutely anything for each other, even if that meant the worst for themselves and there is so much strength and beauty in that. S. M. Soto's writing although brutal to read, was beautiful and magnificent. I loved these two so much. Bea is the epitome of a survivor and that girl fought and fough for her happy ending. I'm so happy that the nightmare she lived in for 6 long and painful years is over and she got the love of her life back.

Prepare to feel this tittle ten fold and to read one of the most powerful books - a true embodiment of hope, strength, survival and  true love and friendship. Ache is a story you won't soon, if not ever, forget. These characters will leave their imprint in your mind and heart.
