Review: Dear Bridget, I Want You, Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

Title: Dear Bridget, I want you
Author: Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland
Publication Date: September 18, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Rate: 4,5 / 5 stars

And once again Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward threw this out of the park! I seriously love anything these two write whether it's as a duo or individually. There are definitely both auto-read authors for me.
I expected nothing less of V & P. Of course they would make me fall in love with a sexy British doctor named Simon, I mean who wouldn't fall in love with such a character. I loved getting to know Simon, he was super inappropriate, funny, couldn't be sexier and he was such a sweet guy without even trying. I loved the little bits of him and Brendan, their connection was undeniable right from the start even for a guy who thought he never wanted a family.

Both Bridget and Simon had their own ghosts and neither wanted or was ready for a relationship but their chemistry was evident and their feelings grew with every interaction. At one point, they just had to stop fighting it. I couldn't put this down, it was just so good and compelling and I just seriously loved everything about this book. V & P know how to do it right!!

And can I just say that I was not expecting THAT, I feel like that part of the plot just fell out of the sky or something but I cannot lie, I thought it was brilliant, even though I hate those kind of situations. You'll know what I mean if you've read the book or are going to read it. You definitely should! I know this is so evasive but I don't want to spoil anyone.

Blurb:
Dear Bridget,
I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.
So, here goes.
We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.
But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
I want you.
The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.
So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.
No questions asked.
Think about it.
Or don’t.
Whatever you choose.
It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.
--Simon
