“So basically, I’m in love with a really hot guy who’s fantastic in bed and I can’t remember ever meeting him? Is that where I’m at?” I ask, although my tone is laced with sarcasm. “This is just my luck. Seriously.”

Oh boy, after how 'This is Dangerous' ended I expected nothing but heartache in this baby and I got it. Reading about how Kayla forgot about Logan due to her accident was truly heartbreaking, for both her and him. But I feel like it was truly the perfect thing to happen and the perfect conclusion to their story.

Hear me out, and only people who have read 'This is Dangerous' and the previous duo will understand this. We all know how much Kayla liked Logan and fought for a date with him or any kind of his attention. She had been into him since her first glimpse of the man, and her infatuation grew while she got to know him and they developed a close friendship. Logan had been putting her off since the beginning because of his daughter and the complicated relationship he had with her mother, but of course he also had feelings for Kayla even though it was obvious they were not on the same playing field.

So I see Kayla losing her memory has a sort of blessing in disguise, now it was Logan's turn to fight for Kayla and in doing so he truly, 100% appreciated what they had had and what they could have again and he grew to love her just as much as she had always loved him.

I love Kayla, she was so brave and strong, she did not let herself go down despite everything that happened, she even grew some balls and fought for things that the other Kayla was to chicken too. I truly loved her and her journey, she made me laugh a lot and she was just a true to joy to hang out with, even with all the sadness and heartbreaking going on in her relationship with Logan.

Ah Logan, he was a true pleasure too! So sexy and kinky, and damn pussy wiped! I loved him and his resilience and strength. He was a great father, friend, lover, just a damn good person, which is just perfect because so was Kayla. They seriously belong together. I absolutely adored them as both individuals and a couple. 

"I want the emotional aspect of a relationship, too. I hadn’t wanted that in years before her, so I know she’s the only one for me. I hope she can feel the same way about me someday."

It was beautiful to see how he fought for Kayla and wanted her to fall in love with him again if she could never remember him and their relationship from before the accident. His true love for her was evidenced by how he was willing to let go of her and let her be happy with someone else. He saw how much she was forcing their relationship and he did not want to put her through that even if he would end up hurting himself in the process. 

They both struggled a lot, and it was truly heartbreaking. Kayla knew how good Logan had been to her from what her friends told her and how much he did for her and her dogs while she was in the hospital. She knew she had loved him, the evidence was clear in texts, pictures and stories she was told. 

"Every time Logan says something so sweet, my heart beats a little faster and the guilt of not being able to recall our past hits me a little harder. His love for me is so evident, I only want to be able to reciprocate those feelings."

The attraction she felt for him was still there, but the love wasn't. She struggled a lot on wanting to love him but not being able to, she wanted things to go back to how they were for Logan's sake because she didn't want to hurt him. However, some things can't be forced. All would be solved if she just remembered but does she remember? Or was their love forever forgotten to her when she hit her head? K & F thank you for bring me on this ride, I have loved every single duo and each of them is special in their own away but Logan & Kayla stole my heart, this duo was so compelling and you literally had my heart in your hands while I was reading this! You guys managed to break my heart and put it back together with your words. That's a gift. These characters will forever hold a piece of my heart, thank you for bringing them into my life. I'm sad that's this series has come to an end but will forever be grateful to have read these books and shared my loved for these babies with the world.
