Tell Me Pretty Lies turned out to be sooo much better than I ever could imagine. I had not expected it to be suspensful or mysterious but it was and I LOVED it.
Thayer and Shayne were both characters that were deeply hurting due to this one tragic event that connected them and everything that came after it. They shared a beautiful connection that was hard to ignore, even with the mess that was their lives. Tragedy, grief and a painful death separated them but their lightning connection brought them back together one year later.
I loved their messy and angsty relationship. They were a brewing storm that fired lightning whenever they were together. It was amazing and they were sexy, emotional and just fire. I loved that it was all a little slow burn, a touch here and there and it took a while for things to progress.
I absolutely adored Holden and I really hope he will get his own book because after reading one of those last party scenes... I NEED IT! I really hope this wasn't the last we've seen of this crew and that Charleigh will give us more stories in this word, not just Holden's but Grey's too! They were a messy, complicated bunch but it all stemmed from grief, anger, guilt from that one tragic, heartbreaking day that completely changed their lives.
Charleigh gave us another amazing couple and introduced us to an awesome new world with Shayne and Thayer. Tell Me Pretty Lies pulled me in from the start to finish; it was the perfect combination of suspense, heat and a slow burn second chance romance.
