Maya

My post-college plans include vlogging, drinking around the world, and following my brother as he races in every Grand Prix. I didn’t anticipate Noah Slade, Formula 1’s World Champion and resident bad boy—a damaged prince who acts like a villain. His vulnerability breaks me down and holds me captive, ruining me for any man who dares to come after him. There’s no point asking for my heart back because he’ll shatter it before I have the chance.

Noah

Fans call me the American Prince, the only son of a Formula 1 legend. I live for standing on Prix podiums while crowds chant my name, champagne drips down my face, and adrenaline rushes through my veins. Women want to screw me while men want to be me. But no one challenges me more than Maya Alatorre, the sister of my rival and new teammate. We’re a ticking time bomb, about one wrong move away from exploding. But with her, I want to trip the wire, detonating together in passion and pain. Because, in the end, all’s fair in lust and war.

 REVIEW

Lauren Asher has managed to immerse me in the world of racing with her debut novel. Her writing is impeccable and this sport world she created was fantastic. I've never read this type of sport romance and I highly enjoyed it. All the travelling and getting to see a bit of the countries and the cultures was super cool. And don't get me started on her characters... gosh you guys, I completely loved them all!

Maya, I love how she wanted so bad to be successful and make her parents proud but wanted to support her brother and watch him live his dream. Noah was your typical player who hides his pain behind a douche mask. There was so much to him and gosh I fell for him from the get go. His and Maya's chemistry... woosh! It was fire and I honestly loved reading about their attraction towards one another and how they fought it. It was so fun and entertaining.

Santi, my goodness. I adored him. I cannot, I cannot wait for his book! I want it real bad. I love his relationship with Maya. And Liam and Jax despite being part of another team, they are fun, good friends with Noah and Santi and they all make the best squad. I cannot wait to read Liam and Sophie's book so we can experience their chemistry in first person and I hope we got some of their past history.. because I have a feeling its meaningful. Gah, I just can't wait for more of this series and characters.

Throttled was the most amazing debut novel. Lauren introduced us to an amazing world with spectacular characters that I already fell in love with and can't wait for them all to get their own books. Noah and Maya's chemistry is insane and it made the book all the more. I love a good brother's friend to lover, even though in the beginning it was more enemy than friend, and this was one was just so good. I cannot wait to see more of Santi and Noah's friendship in future books.

EXCERPT

How I feel about him is messy. It doesn’t fit nicely into checked boxes or a pros and cons list. I struggle to understand my conflicting emotions, which ends up pissing me off more. Part of me wishes he could commit to trying a real relationship while another part of me thinks he’s not even worth the trouble.
