Review: Always Mine, Kennedy Fox


College parties, beer, and one-night stands—that was my life.


Now, I hunt down criminals, ethically or not, but if no one’s asking, then I’m not telling. Drinking and women are still included, though I can’t seem to forget the girl who almost gave me her virginity. She would’ve until I realized she was too young, and I wasn’t looking to get thrown into jail. 

In a twist of fate, we’re reunited, except she’s no longer underage but still equally off-limits.

After ignoring her relentless advances, she starts to wear me down. I only have so much willpower when she’s around, running her smart mouth and showing off her impeccable dance moves. 

Just when my restraint starts to crumble, my poor choices finally catch up with me, putting us both in danger. 

There’s no easy way to explain why I betrayed her, but I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe—even if it means breaking her heart.

I've been trying to get my thoughts together to write this review without any spoilers and honestly I'm still not ready but here goes...

Having read every single book these two ladies have ever written and knowing how these two write their epilogues... with a major cliff-hanger... and also having read Mason & Sophie's duet where we got that jaw dropping ending, I can say that my heart was in my throat for the entire time I was reading this book. It wasn't always for the same reason though. Yup, these ladies just kept throwing punch after punch. I was K.O. not even half way through the book but I kept on reading because honestly I couldn't stop!

Always Mine was a complete rush. So many things happen and you slowly see them coming but you don't have time to process them until they come at you full force and it's just shock after shock, emotion after emotion.

Honestly I don't know how I'm alive after reading this one. Because these ladies killed me several times in this book: first, it was the awesome friendship these two have and the chemistry Liam tries to fight and Maddie keeps on throwing in his face; then it was everything Liam got into and the consequences that had for him and a future with Maddie. Getting to watch Liam and Maddie give in to temptation every once in a while and watching her go through that back and forth with him is so heartwrenching. Honestly my heart broke for Maddie throughout the majority of the book and for how it ended. You can definitely count on a major jaw-dropping cliff-hanger that will for sure have you an anxious mess waiting on Always Yours. And this is not even half of it... this book was just EPIC. I know that's exactly how this series is gonna end -  with an even more epic ending to Liam and Maddie's story. I don't know if I'm ready for it, both their story nor the ending of this series but February can't come soon enough. I need book 2 ASAP.

It isn't all emotional and sad though. There are some very sweet and happy parts for these two and oh boy, together, they are fire! They might be my favorite couple in this series, specially chemistry wise but jury still out... I need much much more of them to be sure ahaha.

Gosh, I just really love Liam. I'm a mess over everything that happened in this book. Liam has such an amazing heart and he will do anything to protect his friends and loved ones. I honestly completely fell hard for him and uhh his dirty talk (give me more of that ;) ) Maddie, gosh I adore her. She's incredibly resilient, a bad girl with the greatest, passionate heart that just wants to love and be loved freely and without any restraints. Gosh how much I hope she gets to live that.

Kennedy Fox are really giving us an epic ending to this series. They gave us a taste of suspense with Mason and Sophie but with Liam and Maddie they are taking it to a whole new level and I AM HERE FOR IT! Always Mine was a slow burn, romantic suspense with plenty of surprises, twists and turns and shocking events that will take you on an epic roller coaster of emotions. And let's not forget the strong friendship with an insane chemistry and a spectacular love story in the making.
