Love isn't always about timing.
Sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind and roll with it.

I admit I wasn't ready.
I know you don't want to look at me, let alone talk to me, but please, let me explain.
Let me tell you all the ways my heart broke when you walked away.
Let me show you what our years apart have done to me.

Give me a chance to find my way back to you . . .

“I’m not doing anything.” His eyes glittered. I could tell he was holding back a smile. “Rowan, I know you,” I said. “Did you forget? I know you better than most.” “You know me better than all.”

As soon as this baby hit my kindle I closed myself off from the world and didn't come up for air until I was done. I didn't want to put it down, but it wasn't like I could either. These two had me on pins and needles to see how it would all play out between them and boy I was still in that very state while reading this book.
It's safe to say it were an emotional couple of hours. From all the possibilities I had come up with in my head about what would happen with these two, I was still surprised with how things went. This book spaces out over a couple of years.. and god watching them being apart for so long and how they would react seeing each other in work conventions... it was heartbreaking.

When Tessa finally moved back to the US and they ended up working together... Watching them getting back to the groove of their friendship and feeling that chemistry and sexual tension through the pages and then getting their reactions to each other, oh boy. I felt really bad for both of them. And when it came to the secret, I felt so much for Tessa because I understood her reasons but also poor Rowan missing out on so many years. For me that was really the worst part of their roller coaster relationship.

“Would you believe me if I told you that I’ve spent these last few years regretting every decision I made before you left?” he asked into the darkness. “Considering who you married, yes.” “I could have married any random woman and I would still feel this way because she wasn’t you.” His words hit me smack in the middle of my chest, spreading the warmth of a sunrise after a seemingly endless night. “Ro, go to sleep.” “Okay, but I need you to know that I’m not going anywhere.”

This book was not missing the angst I crave but I think the first one was worse or better (depending on how you think) but this really was the perfect conclusion to these two's story!
However, I'm actually surprised about how easy things were for them, I mean there was a hiccup here or there but it was relatively easy for them to get back together and I can't say I'm not glad for it. They just couldn't resist each other, and having Rowan's wedding now coming to an end, there was no reason for him not to get his woman back, except of course for the secret she had been keeping from him. And God did they deserve to have a close to a smooth sailing. These two deserved everything after what they had been through.

“I don’t know a thing about love. I only know what I feel for you.”

Once the secret was out, Rowan had to get over the shock of the news but after internalizing the idea he was a trooper. Seriously kudos to you Rowan, you were truly amazing and understanding.
He really was amazing, in the whole book. I was frustrated with him and his choices in TTWY but he was freaking perfect in this one. He made up for lost time, and was truly an amazing lover and father. I loved watching how he treated them both, it was so sweet. It was truly amazing to see them work everything out, overcoming everything and everyone that had been in their way and fighting for their happy ending.

“I don’t just love you, Sprite. I bleed for you. Only for you.”

I'm also very happy that Rowan finally had an heart to heart with his Dad. Their conversation was so important for him, and the whole mess with his Dad was definitely something that was still hurting him and hanging heavily on him. I'm so glad they kind of worked it out between them. I truly felt so happy when I was reading that passage. It was something that Rowan needed to hear and understand and I just feel like it helped him and made something click inside him. He was able to let go of the hurt he had been fostering for so many years, and that also helped him moving forward with everything else. It was a beautiful moment.

My Way Back to You does not have many drama or obstacles. I really feel like after the whole mess of emotions of the first book , this one was written to appease our hearts and just give us something sweet, happy even though still a little angsty but I mean with their past, it had to be. Anyway, it was perfect. Truly an epic way to write a duet and just the perfect conclusion for us as readers.
I loved this duet with all my heart, tears and all. It was emotional, beautiful and just freaking sensational!
If you haven't picked the first book up, go and pick up both of them now and read this more than amazing duet without having to live in anxiety waiting for the second book to come so you can finally breathe. That was me by the way, waiting for the day this sweet baby dropped on my kindle. I about died of joy when I saw it had.
